How Does Lumenis® LightSheer® DESIRE™ Work?
The Lumenis® LightSheer® DESIRE™ laser uses two extremely advanced technologies to remove hair for good. First, the laser uses high-speed vacuum assisted technology to carefully lift skin into the handpiece and stretch it so that the hair follicle is as close to the laser as possible. Surrounding melanin-producing cells are spread further apart, and then the skin and damaged follicles are released from the vacuum suction.
The other technology option, ChillTip™, stays on the skin’s surface, cooling the epidermis both before and during treatment. ChillTip™ targets the hair follicles and is extremely safe. The laser is applied while the skin is compressed and creates damage to the follicles.
